Pakistan pays $147m to IMF: SBP

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Tuesday paid the 27th instalment under IMF/SBA facility amounting to SDR 96 million, equivalent to $147 million, a SBP spokesperson said.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the spokesperson said that with the repayment of current instalment, Pakistan has repaid SDR 4,289 million equivalent $6,544 million since Jul-2011 to IMF, of which SDR 3,715 million equivalent to $5,660 million was under SBA facility.
He added that after the current repayment, remaining amount due under IMF-SBA facility until Sep-2015 is SDRs 1,221 million.
