Terrorism and dialogue cannot coexist: Nisar

KARACHI: Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan says terrorism and talks cannot coexist.

Nisar arrived in Karachi on the directives of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to evaluate the ongoing targeted operation in the city. Speaking to reporters outside the airport, Nisar said the law and order situation in the city was improving. The interior minister further said the first few months of the operation were successful and this trend should continue.

According to Nisar several operations in Karachi were conducted on the basis of information provided by the federal government. “Intelligence is being shared with all provinces.”

Chaudhry Nisar told reporters the problem plaguing Karachi was serious and could be resolved with consensus.
