APTUF protests against privatisation
LAHORE: All Pakistan Trade Union Federation (APTUF) held a protest demonstration against privatisation on the eve of third death anniversary of the pioneer of labour movement in Pakistan, Gulzar Ahmed Chaudhry, at Railway Headquarters on Thursday.
On this occasion, APTUF members paid tributes to their leader for his meritorious services, struggle and sacrifices for the cause of labour union.
Speaking on the occasion, union members criticised the PML-N government’s plan of privatisation of Pakistan Railway, WAPDA, PIA and other public sector organisations.
They also demanded the government fulfil the promises it had made with labourers and workers at the time of election.
Later, the protesters dispersed peacefully.
