US ambassador visits Mohenjodaro

LARKANA: US Ambassador to Pakistan Richard G Olson, who visited Mohenjodaro on Sunday, has said that said that it is a magnificent example of the rich and ancient heritage of Sindh.
Talking to newsmen after the visit, he remarked, “It is a great pleasure for me to be here at Mohenjodaro, a great civilisation, and to see evidence of 5,000 years Sindhi culture and would like to congratulate the people of Sindh for best preserving the monument of Sindh”. He added, “Also recently Sindh Festival was celebrated here which is a great contribution towards the culture of Sindh and introducing it to the world.” Replying to a question about peace talks between the government and Taliban, Olson said that “we are not taking position on talks and it is up to the Pakistan government”.
