COAS, CJCSC meets US Centcom chief
ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif and Chairman Joints Chief of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Rashad Mahmood held meetings with General Llyod J Austin, Commander of the United States Central Command (Centcom) here on Wednesday.
During the meeting issues pertaining to US withdrawal from Afghanistan and the region were discussed.
In a meeting held at Joint Staff Headquarters CJCSC General Mahmood briefed General Austin on the situation in neighbouring Afghanistan.
The Centcom chief later called on COAS General Sharif and discussed matters relating to the security situation in the region and Afghanistan.
