Even enemy didn’t cut throats of war prisoners
RAWALPINDI: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid said on Wednesday that our 90,000 men were in Indian prisons but none of them was killed by slitting of throat
Talking to media, Rashid asked the Taliban to tell under what sharia were they slitting the throats of their prisoners. He said the rule of law would remain forever and no one would escape from it. He said that it was the utmost desire of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to achieve the goal of peace without bloodshed. Rashid has said that the defence institutions of the country have all the capabilities to protect the country, deal with the challenges, and no one should have any doubt about it.
He said if the Taliban spokesman has any complaint he was free to tell the TTP negotiating committee. The minister said that the Taliban first targeted police personnel in Karachi and then they slit the throats of FC personnel who were in their captivity in a dastardly manner. He said despite being against each other in the past India and Pakistan never meted out such treatment to each others prisoners. “Our 90,000 prisoners were in Indian prisons but none of them was killed by slitting of throat,” the minister pointed out.
