Plea against Musharraf case transfer rejected

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has dismissed a petition by the Shuhada Foundation seeking early hearing of the case against Pervez Musharraf and its transfer from sessions court to IHC being uncontested. As per media reports Advocate Arif Syed appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioner, Hafiz Ehtesham of Shuhada Foundation. He took the plea that hearing of the case was continuing in the sessions court of Islamabad, therefore, the case be transferred to IHC and its hearing be conducted early. A single-member bench of the IHC of Justice Riaz Ahmad Khan rejected the petition. Talking to newsmen, petitioner Ehtesham said nothing was in our knowledge about the court’s notice, therefore, we could not appear before it.
