Sialkot: The body of a Pakistani prisoner, Shaukat Ali, who was found dead in a Jammu jail, has been handed over to his family in Sialkot on Monday. Indian authorities shifted the body to Wagah border crossing and handed it over to Pakistani officials on Monday morning. Sources said the body was brought to a Lahore hospital for autopsy and then shifted to Sialkot. The autopsy report would reveal the real cause of the death, as the Indian authorities have claimed that Shaukat Ali had committed suicide in jail. Ali was found dead in a Jammu district jail last Saturday. Indian officials have said that he committed suicide. Ali, who had been arrested from Jammu and Kashmir in February 2011, “was found hanging from a noose in the prison”, in early morning hours, media reports quoted Indian jail officials as saying.
