Ailing Edhi on wheelchair leads Karachi peace rally
KARACHI: A peace rally has been taken out on Wednesday morning in the city here under the leadership of Maulana Abdul Sattar Edhi, the founder and Chairperson of the Edhi Foundation, Geo News reported.
The rally for peace led by no other person than the ailing Edhi on wheelchair accompanied by his volunteers drawing attention of the citizens, who in great respect and reverence for him and his organization offering generous donations for the Edhi Foundation also.
Sources said that the peace rally passing through the M.A. Jinnah Road would wind up at the Numaish Chowrangi near Mausoleum of the Quaid-e-Azam.
Maulana Abdul Sattar Edhi said that in view of the precarious law and order situation in the city he himself has come out to lead the peace rally despite ill health to seek public support and build up a strong public opinion against lawlessness and love for peace.
