NA speaker directs Dasti to submit proof supporting his claims
ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq has directed Jamshed Dasti to provide evidence supporting his claims that parliament lodges have become a centre of immoral activities, where Mujras (dance parties) are being arranged and liquor and hash are supplied.
In a letter, the speaker directed the Member of National Assembly (MNA) Jamshed Dasti to submit relevant video and other proof supporting his startling revelations till Monday.
The speaker also directed the security in-charge of parliament lodges to keep the record of CCTV footage safe.
On Thursday, Jamshed Dasti while speaking on a point of order in the National Assembly had claimed that liquor worth Rs 40 to 50 millions is annually supplied to the parliament lodges and corridors of these lodges reek of unbearably pungent smell of hash.
He firther claimed that women are also being brought into the parliament lodges for dance parties.
Dasti had put forward a demand to hold laboratory tests of all parliamentarians to detect cannabis.
