Sharmila Tagore reaches Lahore to attend Lahore literary festival

LAHORE - Bollywood's renowned film actress Sharmila Tagore on Wednesday reached Lahore on a four day visit to attend Lahore Literary Festival (LLF).

The Indian actress crossed Wagah Border on Wednesday where Lahore Literary Festival organisers received her. Sharmila will stay in the city for four day in which she would attend opening ceremony of the LLF scheduled to be held on February 19.

Sharmila will attend the opening session of the first day of LLF titled “In conversation with Sharmila Tagoure” based on the life and film journey of the actress. The session will be moderated by novelist Hameed Haroon. Sharmila had been associated with acting in Bollywood cinema since decades.

It is pertinent to mention here that the yearly literary treat for the people of Lahore, LLF, coming up with diversified topics from literature, film, arts, and attended by national and international speakers.

On the inaugural day of the festival, a session on prolific Urdu fiction writer Intizar Hussain in which Eruj Mubarak, Kishwar Naheed, Khaled Ahmed, Nasir Abbas Nayyar, Yasir Pirzada and Masood Ashar will be the panelist.
