US wants Pakistan-India peace process
Spokesman says ‘US supports every decision with regard to Nawaz-Modi meeting’

WASHINGTON – The United States has acknowledged the efforts of Pakistan against terrorism and expressed the commitment to continue cooperation with Pakistan till the menace is absolutely uprooted.

During a daily press briefing in Washington, US State Department Deputy Spokesperson Mark Toner underscored the need to continue the peace process between Pakistan and India. The spokesperson noted that Pakistan was the most adversely affected with terrorism, adding that US appreciates the efforts of Pakistan in connection with the war on terrorism.

He said that the US sought Pakistan-India peace process to make progress, adding, ‘US supports every decision with regard to Nawaz-Modi meeting.’
