Terror war to continue till elimination of last terrorist: Jhagra
PESHAWAR: Designate-governor, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra on Sunday said the ongoing counter-terrorism fight will continue till the last terrorist is wiped out from the country.
In a statement issued here, Jhagra lauded the sacrifices rendered by the Pakistan’s armed forces in the war against terrorism.
“We are proud of Capitan Umer and other soldiers who laid down the sacrifice of their lives in a clash with terrorist in Shawal area of North Waziristan,” he added.
Pakistan’s security forces killed 19 terrorists and injured 23 others in a raid conducted here at Shawal area of North Waziristan Agency bordering Afghanistan, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.
The raid led to a fierce gunfight between the security forces and militants in which four soldiers also embraced martyrdom
Captain Umer Abbasi was among the security personnel martyred in the gun-battle.
