Resolution to dedicate Punjab University Law Department to Asma Jahangir’s name
Afzal SayalLahore: PML-N MPA Hina Pervaiz Butt has tabled a resolution in Punjab Assembly paying tribute to Asma Jahangir’s lifelong struggle for Human Rights and Democracy.
In acceptance of her struggle for democracy and legislation, the MPA demands from the Government to rename Law Department of Punjab University to Asma Jahangir’s name.
The resolution also states that Asma Jahangir was the first woman elected as the President of Supreme Court Bar Association.
