ZAB’s birth anniversary programmes cancelled

 

KARACHI: The Pakistan People’s Party on Tuesday cancelled the birth anniversary programmes of Zufikar Ali Bhutto after the martyrdom of Punjab Governor Salmaan Taseer. Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah cancelled all programmes in connection with Bhutto’s 83rd birth anniversary, which were scheduled for January 5, said a statement issued by the PPP Sindh on Tuesday. The Sindh CM has also directed all district wings of the party to organise fateha for Bhutto and Taseer today (Wednesday) as part of the birth anniversary functions of the PPP’s founding chairman. Also, PPP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa In-charge Zahir Shah Toru said that all of the party’s programmes to celebrate the birth anniversary of Bhutto were cancelled following the brutal assassination of Taseer. app
