Punjab’s new governor soon
KARACHI: The gap, widened with the assassination of former Punjab Governor Salman Taseer, seems to be filled soon as the deliberation on a number of names is underway meanwhile, President Asif Zardari, as the latest move in this connection, has summoned, the president Zarai Tarakkiyati Bank Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf here in Karachi on Saturday, Geo News reported.According to sources, Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf has been called in Karachi in emergency by Asif Ali Zardari as his name is also among the list of those who may be made Governor of Punjab.
All the same, sources also told Geo News, that the name of PPP’s leader Mushtaq Awan is also under consideration.
Asma Jehangir has been summoned in Karachi in relation to a meeting of lawyers, sources said further.
