MQM with Baloch people, Altaf tells Shahzain

KARACHI: Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain telephoned Jamhoori Watan Party’s leader Shahzain Bugti and informed him that the MQM would continue to raise its voice for the rights of Balochistan’s people.

Shahzain informed Altaf that the JWP had rejected the government’s Balochistan Package. JWP will organise a long march towards Dera Bugti on the 28th under the leadership of Bari Begum Saheba, Bugti said.

Shahzain told Altaf that the government had been making false cases against Baloch leaders to foil the long march. He hoped that the MQM would continue to raise its voice for “Balochistan’s deprived people” and requested cooperation from the MQM in the long march.

Shahzain told Altaf that he was not being provided proper medical facilities in the jail. Altaf asked President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and Interior Minister Rehman Malik to provide medical facilities to Bugti and ensure adequate security for the long march. staff report
