Karachi: operation ends, suspects interrogated
KARACHI: The Rangers ended a search operation in various localities of Orangi Town area, detaining many suspects, Geo News reported Tuesday.The law enforcement agency (LEA) cordoned off the whole area. They entered Faqeer Colony, Musqata Colony and Umar Baloch Mohalla localities early in the morning at 07:30am. The police was not the part of contingent engaged in the search operation.
The suspects, at least 150, have been kept at undisclosed locations for more interrogations.
The area residents protested against the unannounced door-to-door search operation. However, life has come to normalcy in the localities. According to the sources, many of those held by the Rangers did not have identity cards with them.
