Detained Geo News team released
KARACHI: The Rangers have released Geo News reporter Zill-e Haider and two cameramen Javed Iqbal and Farhan Ilyas after deleting the footage from the camera, Geo News reported.They were detained during the coverage of search operation in Orangi Town area of Karachi.
The technical staff with the Geo reporting team was also held. The Rangers seized Geo's DSNG van, two cameras and deleted the footage.
Geo News correspondent told that the Rangers have arrested hundreds of people who left home early in the morning to buy breakfast but were not criminals. They were not carrying CNIC.
The team was busy in its professional assignment when a personnel of Rangers misbehaved with the reporter and instructed him to leave and later detained the Geo Team.
