Nawaz, Khosa agree over better relations in Punjab
* Both leaders agree policy of reconciliation only way forward

LAHORE: Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa on Tuesday called on Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif at his residence in Raiwind, where the two agreed to better ties in the province.
The leaders also discussed the current political situation in the country and in the province.
Both sides agreed that the policy of reconciliation was the only way forward keeping in view the political and economic situation in the country. The leaders of both parties vowed to maintain the existing political environment in the province and to work for the welfare of the people.
Khosa reached Raiwind with a Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) delegation that included Senior Minister Raja Riaz, Punjab Finance Minister Tanvir Ashraf Kaira and PPP Punjab President Imtiaz Safdar Warraich.
PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif welcomed the PPP delegation, who also visited the grave of Mian Muhammad Sharif.
Khosa said he would develop cordial relations with the provincial government and his meeting with Nawaz was the first among many in a bid to reconcile differences with different political parties. Khosa said he would hold meetings with other political parties soon in pursuance of the party’s reconciliation policy. The two sides agreed for a good working relationship in the province.
Nawaz hoped that Khosa would jointly work with the provincial government.
