Cabinet change to be in line with 18th Amend: PM
LAHORE: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has stated that a final decision to cut the size of the federal cabinet would be made under 18th Amendment and in consultation with the coalition parties, Geo News reported on Sunday.
Talking to foreign media representatives in the provincial capital, the prime minister said that all the political parties are against military intervention.
He further said that like in the past, no conspiracies were being hatched at the President House.
The 10-point agenda set by PML-N is in fact a trust of the opposition party on my government, he said.
Prime Minister Gilani noted that the problem of terrorism, which had caused worst economic losses to the country, is missing from the PML-N agenda.
To a question, Gilani said ‘war against terror is our own. It is not the war of United Nations.’ Decision to launch military operation in North Waziristan would be made by the Pakistan itself, he asserted and added that our own Army would fight there.
Referring to Pakistan-India dialogue, the prime minister stated that it could be resumed. He said Pakistan would welcome Indian Prime Minister whenever he decides to pay a visit.
