Shujaat links elections/politics to Karachi peace

KARACHI: President Pakistan Muslim League-Q Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain Saturday said there would be no elections nor would there be any politics if restoration of peace failed in Karachi, Geo News reported.

Talking to media men after a meeting with Sarwat Aijaz Qadri, head of Sunni Tehreek, Chaudhry Shujaat said it would be premature to say anything on forging a political bond with Sunni Tehreek.

On the occasion, PML-Q Secretary General Mushahid Hussain Sayed said the time for mid-term polls had passed and if the situation still failed to improve then it would be the end of the game for all.

“The Supreme Court is not the remedy for all ills …. may Allah have mercy on the apex court,” he said.

ST Head Sarwat Aijaz Qadri said unity was the need of the hour and that his party is ready to render any sacrifice for the peace of and stability of the country.
