KP economically far behind other provinces: Afan Aziz
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KPCCI) President Afan Aziz said on Saturday the province was economically far behind other provinces, and was totally ignored.
Aziz said the traders in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were given Rs 31 billion bank loans, while Rs 1200 billion loans were released to the traders in Punjab, which was a great injustice to KP traders. He was addressing a meeting between KPCCI and Bank of Khyber (BoK) at the chamber. Aziz presided over the meeting, which was also attended by KPCCI Vice President Ziaul Haq Sarhadi, KPCCI executive members and BoK officials. Speaking to the participants during his visit to KPCCI, BoK MD Bilal Mustafa said that Rs 2 billion loans allocated by the provincial government to small traders and industrialists would soon be disbursed at easy terms and conditions. The MD denied BoK was charging more than other banks. pr
