Ready to talk to PML-N: President Zardari

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari, has given an exclusive interview to Geo News, which would be aired on Saturday.

This is President Zardari's first interview to any news channel after a considerable hiatus.

Talking to senior Geo News anchor, Hamid Mir, President Zardari spoke about key national issues.

Geo News broadcast the highlights of the interview Friday night. The complete interview will be aired on Geo News at 10:05 PM on Saturday.

Commenting on the ‘memogate scandal’, President Zardari said he would respect the decision of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security’s (PCNS) decision because he believed the Parliament was supreme.

He said he was not afraid of early elections and was ready to talk to PML-N’s Nawaz Sharif for the same.

During the interview President rejected that national entities like PIA, Railways, WAPDA, etc. were inching towards collapse.

“Media think it was so, but I don’t think so, these entities have only weakened”, President said.

To a question an outspoken Zardari denied any rivalry with the Chief Justice, saying (in good humour), he didn't come from my village.
