Punjab govt to contact SC on gas crisis: Shahbaz


LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif said that no issue will be discusses with President Asif Ali Zardari and his government will consult the Supreme Court on gas crisis in Punjab, Geo News reported Saturday.

CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif along with his delegation reached Lahore from Turkey via Dubai. The plane could not land on time at Lahore Airport due to fog and was delayed by 1.5 hours.

While talking to media, Shahbaz told his visit to Turkey was of great importance in the backdrop of foreign investment in the transport sector. He told that metro bus service with the help of a private Turkish bank will soon start in many cities of Punjab including Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi and Multan.

Shahbaz Sharif said that the provincial government will soon go to the Supreme Court over the prevailing gas crisis in Punjab and that no issue will be discussed with President Zardari.

The CM Punjab told that solid waste management machinery will soon reach Lahore from Turkey and the project will also be expanded to other cities of the province.
