Nawaz appears before memogate commission
ISLAMABAD: PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif on Monday appeared before the memogate commission and submitted his written statement, Geo News reported.Talking to media outside Islamabad High Court, Nawaz Sharif said memogate is a serious and sensitive issue and a plot against Pakistan. He said he has not leveled allegations against anyone but it is a conspiracy to malign Pakistan's sovereignty.
'I am a petitioner and showed respect by appearing before the commission', Nawaz said.
PML-N chief claimed that Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) has done nothing on this vital issue so far.
Nawaz said the memo is a conspiracy against Pakistan and whoever is involved in this should be exposed. ' I have not named Haqqani or Zardari, just pleaded for investigation into the matter', he added.
