NLA starts work on Faiz’s biographyISLAMABAD: National Language Authority (NLA) has started work on Faiz Ahmad Faiz’s biography that will be completed by June, a press statement said on Friday.
NLA officials in this regard have constituted an editorial board, the members of which include Saleema Hashmi, IA Rehman, Agha Nasir, Iftikhar Arif and Mazhar Jamil. The members of the board would write a comprehensive biography of the distinguished poet.
Meanwhile, NLA has launched a series of e-books on numerous subjects to facilitate students, faculty members and book lovers. The publications of NLA will be available free of cost on the Internet. The Authority has initially prepared CDs of five books that include `Urdu Afsana-Aik Sadi ka Qissa’ by Dr Anwaar Ahmed, `Hafeez Jalandhari’ by Jamil Yousaf, `Hafiz Mehmood Sherani’ by Dr Muhammad Ashraf Kamal, `Maulvi Salahuddin’ by Dr Tariq Hashmi and `Mir Anees’ by Dr Nayyar Masood. staff report
