PPP to field Awan, Ahsan for Senate slots
LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party has wrapped up deliberations regarding fielding candidates for the Senate elections, Geo News reported.Babar Awan, and Aitzaz Ahsan’s names have been proposed for the two general seats.
Sources told Geo News that Faryal Talpur, Jehangir Badar, Raja Riaz, and Imtiaz Safdar Warraich brainstormed in today’s session.
A final list of candidates would be issued any time soon.
Sources also added that for the technocrat seat PPP would support PML-Q’s candidate, whereas, the latter would back the former for special seat for women.
