Musharraf calls for unification of all PML factions

ISLAMABAD: All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) head and former president Pervez Musharraf has called for unification of all Muslim League factions under the umbrella of APML.

Musharraf was talking to former provincial minister Iftikhar Mehmand, a statement issued on Friday said. He said that Pakistan desperately needed honest and responsible leadership to steer it out of the prevailing challenges. Mehmand assured the former president that he would play a vital role in this regard and many assembly members and district nazims were contacting him for this purpose. Musharraf urged the government to seek a democratic solution to the ongoing civil-military tension.
