Pak-Iran border once again closed
CHAGHAI: Tehran on Monday closed Zero Point, the trade gate between Pakistan and Iran, in the bordering town of Taftan. According to the area’s local administration, Iranian border officials cited security arrangements ahead of a religious festival in Iran as the reason for the closure, adding, the gate was closed for an indefinite period. The affected traders in Pakistan have demanded the authorities concerned to take up the issue with Iran and reopen the trade gate as soon as possible. app
