SC takes suo moto of Shahzeb Khan's murder


ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) has taken the suo moto of Shahzeb Khan's murder after reviewing the news reports in various newspapers Tuesday, Geo News reported.

Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry took the suo moto notice of the cold-blodded murder of the 20-year-old Shahzeb Khan, son of DSP Aurangzeb, after going through the clippings in various newspapers and has sought report from police on the matter, as the news reports stated that police has not yet arrested the killers.

The CJ has summoned Advocate General and Inspector General Sindh on January 4 in personal capacity.

Reports stated that Shahzeb Khan was killed near the Country Club within the remit of Darakhshan police station by the influential feudals when he tried to stop them from harassing his sister.

The incident has jolted the people, particularly the younger generation who are protesting the incident and demanding justice.
