Shahzeb murder: Police swing into action after SC orders
KARACHI: Police which earlier remained reluctant over the last month cold blooded murder of Shahzeb in Karachi’s Defence area apparently due to affluent background of the murderers, abruptly swang into action and swooped down on various addresses in Islamabad, Karachi and Hyderabad after the Supreme Court warned the high-ups of consequences from their failure in arresting the culprits, Geo News reported Friday.
Sources said that in a joint action law enforcers conducted raids in Hyderabad and Mitiari districts.
The sources said that the police arrested two brothers of Nawab Siraj Talpur, a nominated accused in Shahzeb murder case, from Citizen Colony.
The police conducted search in their residence while interrogation was underway. According to the sources in a raid conducted at Talpur House ,an uncle of the accused had also been arrested.
Earlier, the police also arrested a man during a raid in the federal capital. Shahzeb’s murder sparked public rage and prompted civil society to take to the streets.
