Non state actors targeting security institutions: PM
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf said Friday that non state actors were targeting security and state institutions as they attempt to enforce their agenda on the nation.
Addressing the certificate distribution ceremony of the 14th National Security Workshop at the National Defense University, Prime Minister Ashraf said a comprehensive strategy was required to deal with terrorism and army action alone was not the solution.
The prime minister added that in the current era national security had become complex and multifaceted and communication between civil and security institutions was essential to tackle threats.
“It is essential to stand against those forces who want to derail the system,” Prime Minister Ashraf said.
The Prime Minister assured that the government will provide all necessary resources to the armed forces in the war against terrorism.
