Long march to serve no purpose: Sindh minister

KARACHI: Sindh Revenue Minister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has said that the government would not allow anybody to derail democracy in the country. “Elections will be held on time in a fair, impartial and transparent manner.” He stated this while talking to different delegations here at his office on Friday. He said that long march would never be a success because people of Pakistan were supporting the Pakistan People’s Party,”. He said that the present democracy was achieved after immense sacrifices, adding government had provided freedom of expression to masses. Provincial Minister asked who were those people raising slogans of revolution. He added that whenever PPP government came into power these ‘so-called’ forces emerge. Jam said that the history of PPP was filled with sacrifices. “The workers and the leaders of PPP have defended the democracy in the country and they will do so in future”. He said that the people of Sindh would never be deceived with fake slogans of Nawaz Sharif, nationalists and so called leaders. “The people of Sindh are well aware to distinguish between those sincere with them and those misleading them.” He added that in next elections PPP would bag victory across all four provinces and form its government. staff report
