Imran demands immediate resignation of President Zardari
LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan has demanded that President Asif Ali Zardari resign immediately. Khan claimed President Zardair was responsible for all that was wrong with Pakistan and fair elections could not be held under him.
The PTI chairman speaking to the media announced his seven demands. The demands included the election date to be announced immediately, neutral caretaker government be announced, elections should be held on time without any delay, President Zardari should be removed, Election Commission should be neutral, immediate action should be taken on the Supreme Court orders in the Rental Power case and terrorists behind the Quetta tragedy should be immediately arrested.
In a message to PTI workers, Khan said they should be patient and wait for his call following a party meeting on Wednesday. Imran added that the PTI believed in change through the ballot box.
