‘Saviours of state’ retreated to save dignity: Nawaz

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Chief Nawaz Sharif said those who went to save the state retreated only after saving their dignity, an obvious reference to Tehrik-e-Minhajul Quran chief Dr Tahir ul Qadri.

Speaking to media along with Pir Pagara, Nawaz said Tahir ul Qadri had become PPP’s ally after the deal struck on Friday.

Nawaz added that he saw nothing new in Qadri’s four-point charter and said it was also a part of the Constitution.

The former prime minister also criticized the PPP government over the Sindh local bodies system and said division of the province would not be accepted.
