PML-Q, PkMAP to attend ANP APC on terrorism

PESHAWAR: The Awami National Party (ANP) has started approaching political parties for convening the All Parties Conference (APC) on terrorism. An ANP delegation, consisting of ANP KP President Senator Afrasiab Khattak, MNA Bushra Gohar and Senator Nabi Bangash, held a meeting with the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party’s Mehmud Khan Achakzai and PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Saturday. During the meeting, Achakzai and Shujaat agreed to participate in the proposed APC. The two leaders said that the entire nation has to unite against the curse of terrorism and for its elimination from the country. Speaking on the occasion, Shujaat said political parties should adopt an effective strategy for the elimination of terrorism from Pakistan. He said the PML-Q would play its role for the success of APC. He said the entire country was victim of terrorism and political parties should support the ANP’s efforts to fight terrorism. The ANP delegation also met MQM leaders, including Federal Minister Babar Ghauri, and offered fateha for the slain MQM MPA Manzar Imam. Members of the ANP and MQM also hailed the telephonic contact between ANP President Asfandyar Wali Khan and MQM chief Altaf Hussain. MQM leaders praised the efforts of ANP against terrorism and assured their full cooperation to eliminate the menace from the country. app
