LAHORE: Tehrik-e-Minhajul Quran leader Dr Tahirul Qadri has announced that neither he nor anyone from his family will take part in the upcoming general election.
During a news conference, Qadri denied media reports that he had sought asylum in Canada.
Tahirul Qadri also announced the separation of Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) from the Tehrik-e-Minhajul Quran.
The Tehreek-e-Minhaul Quran leader also termed his Long March and sit-in as a peaceful event during which he had signed the ‘Islamabad Long March Decleration’ with the government. The agreement allows the PAT to say over the formation of the caretaker government.
