Pakhtunkhwa CM directs PTI workers to start preparation for LG polls

PESHAWAR – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has asked the workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to start preparations for local government election being held in May this year as well as keep vigil on performance of the government departments to make it subservient to the needs of the people in the real sense.
He asserted that his government is marching ahead successfully in achieving of the set goals by taking along all the coalition partners. He said that the PTI and allied parties will contest local government elections jointly. He vowed that his government besides all the resources and powers also transferred additional 30 per cent funds of the provincial government to the local bodies wherein each district will receive extra developmental funds to the tune of Rs 400 million that will be sufficient for revolutionary changes of development at village and town levels after transparent use.
Now village council member will be more powerful than MPA, he said. He was talking to local office bearers of the PTI Tehsil Khaal Dir Payan that called on him under district Fakhruzaman, Tehsil President Yousaf Adeel, Provincial President Insaf Student Federation Akhunzada Hussain Ahmad at CM Secretariat Peshawar and apprised him of the problems and demands of the area. Besides the concerned authorities provincial General Secretary of PTI Khalid Masood was also present.
On this occasion ANP stalwart, Tehsil President and candidate of PK-93 from ANP Akhunzada Ashfaqur Rahim announced joining the PTI along with his 1500 supporters and tribe members. He said that he was impressed of the vision of change of Imran Khan and undaunted steps of Chief Minister Pervez Khattak ensuring supremacy of merit, law and justice in the province and hence forth would render every sacrifice for the cause of this party.
Pervez said that the PTI under the dynamic leadership of Imran would reign future of the national politics as its popularity is growing with passage of each day. He wondered that even staunch politicians did not know about the real essence of change but the people know the meaning of change for which they voted us into power. He said that we would ever never loot the public exchequer like that of past regimes but would take sigh of relief when the people would be benefited of the fruits of change and institutions start delivering to them. He asked the delegation whether they see any change in police and other departments in their areas upon which all raised hands and told univocally that there was vivid change seen everywhere and see more improvement as well.
The chief minister while taking strong notice of delay in rationalisation of teachers as per ratio of students in schools of the district, directed the deputy commissioner to complete this process within week otherwise order the immediately dismissal of EDO concerned on failing it as he said there was no room for lethargic and law violating officials in this government. He said that there would be school based appointments in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while complete ban has been imposed on transfers of teachers. He lamented that there was no concept of transfer of teachers in rest of the world and that was the basic reason of the high standard of education and progress there.
He said that Rs three billion are being released for construction of boundary walls and other missing facilities in the existing schools besides the Tameer-e-School program. “Coming decades will bring educational revolution in our province due to uniform syllabus and system of education in our schools”, he said. He further stated that new policies for scientific exploitation of mineral and forests resources have been introduced that would result into considerable increase of income and resources of the province.
