Imran warns lawmakers against taking money in Senate election

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan on Friday warned his party lawmakers that they would be expelled from the PTI if they got bribed to cast vote in the election for the upper house of the parliament.

Speaking at a press conference, Khan said that he would not care if his party lost the government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Responding to Khan’s remarks, Information Minister Pervez Rashid said the PTI chairman accused his party of taking money as he was scared of an imminent revolt.

He said Imran Khan, who treated party MNAs and MPAs like his employees, should first put his own house in order.

The minister said that the PTI chairman should refrain from discussing economy and energy to avoid ridicule.
