Ambassador-designate to UN calls on President
Mamoon expresses confidence new envoy will live up to expectations of nation

ISLAMABAD - Designate ambassador to the United Nations Maliha Lodhi on Friday called on President Mamnoon Hussain.
During the meeting, the president felicitated Maliha on her appointment as Pakistan’s permanent representative to the UN. He said that Pakistan faces multiple challenges at the international level and appointment of an experienced and seasoned envoy like Dr Maliha Lodhi at this critical juncture is the prudent decision. The president expressed the confidence that the new envoy will live up to the expectations of the nation. In her remarks, Maliha said that she will utilise the best of her abilities to promote the positive image of Pakistan and protect Pakistan’s interests at the world’s highest forum.
