Accountability acceptable not revenge: Chandio
HYDERABAD: Sindh Information Advisor, Maula Bakhsh Chandio on Saturday said accountability is acceptable but not retribution.
“We have presented our grievances before the Prime Minister and now we look towards him,” Chandio said while talking media persons here at the Institute of Modern Sciences and Arts.
He clarified that there is no dispute or conflict between Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the centre.
“Those representing the Federation may keep a close eye on us and our follies and then hold us to account. But, they should also introspect and take steps for self accountability,” the Sindh Information Advisor said.
He said ‘you’ used to claim that there is no presence of Daesh in Pakistan. “Then how is it that people linked to Daesh are being arrested in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa?” Chandio asked.
He said they may build cases against any abettor of terrorists but they must ensure that this exercise is not exclusively meant for Sindh rather the whole country should be put under a scanner.
Chandio said Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is party of the people who live in Sindh and, therefore, talks can be held with them. “People’s Party’s doors are open for all other parties,” he added.
