Qaim to discuss Rangers powers with Nisar in Karachi

LAHORE: Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that powers granted to Rangers in four matters will be discussed with Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan during his visit to Karachi.

Talking to media persons at the Valima reception of Corps Commander Karachi’s son, the Sindh CM said terrorism could be tackled in a more effective manner if Sindh and centre acted in harmony.

He said Sindh government is willing to keep the Rangers functioning in the province till the elimination of terrorism.

Qaim Ali Shah said strict action must be taken against Daesh and other terrorists wherever they may be.

He said all the matters were discussed openely during his meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. “He (Prime Minister) has raised hope for resolution of all the issues,” he added.
