Waseem Akhtar, Haider Abbas granted pre-arrest bail till Jan 20
KARACHI: A Sessions Court on Thursday granted pre-arrest bail to senior Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) leader Waseem Akhtar and Haider Abbas Rizvi till January 20 against surety bond of Rs10,000 each.
Sessions Court East on Wednesday had issued warrants of arrest against nine leaders of MQM, including Waseem Akhtar and Haider Abbas Rizvi in a case registered with the Soldier Bazar police station for alleged violation of Section 144 and use of loudspeaker.
Today, they approached the court for pre-arrest bail. The court accepted their plea and granted them bail till January 20.
