Pakistan’s liquid foreign reserves reach $20.810b

ISLAMABAD: The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at $ 20,810.1 million on January 1. Giving break up of the foreign reserves position statement of the Central Bank on Thursday said that the foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan stood at $ 15,883.4 million while net foreign reserves held by banks were $ 4,926.7 million on January 1, 2016. The SBP said that during the week ending January 1,2016, SBP’s Liquid FX reserves decreased by $ 289 million to $15,883 million as compared to $ 16,172 million in the previous week.
