People’s cooperation on rise as Karachi op achieves targets: DG Rangers
KARACHI: Director General Sindh Rangers, Maj Bilal Akbar on Saturday said the paramilitary force achieved successes in taking actions against target killers, extortionists and other criminals with the cooperation of the people.
Speaking during his meeting with Pakhtun jirga headed by Senator Shahi Syed, the DG Rangers said that cooperation of the people is on steady rise, as Karachi operation yields positive results.
He said the citizens are informing about the criminal elements on the Rangers helpline 1101.
“The crackdown against criminal elements is continuing without any discrimination and it will be brought to a logical end,” he asserted.
Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said worry not as issues pertaining to Rangers powers will stand resolved after February 5.
He said describing Sind Criminal Prosecution Service (SCPS) bill as ‘black law’ is incorrect. “The courts will continue to enjoy their authorities,” the Sindh CM clarified.
Qaim Ali Shah said what happed on Friday in Sindh Assembly could have avoided, had the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on government’s side.
