All manholes to have covers in one week: Qaim Ali Shah

KARACHI: The ‘Fix It’ campaign on social media seems to have awakened Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah who on Sunday jumped to action and visited various parts of the city along with his administration’s team.

The CM made his first trip to Shaheed-e-Millat road, a section which had caved in a few days. However, the repair of the road had been completed later.

Qaim Ali Shah ordered the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board and the city administration to put lids on all the manholes which are uncovered.

He said he had to undertake visit of the city upon receiving complaints and assured that all the manholes in the city will have lids within one week’s time.

Later, he visited University Road, Awami Colony, Bilal Colony, Landhi, Chakra Goth and Veena Chungi.
