SHC extends Waseem Akhtar’s interim bail in two cases

KARACHI: The interim bail of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) nominee for Karachi mayor Waseem Akhtar has been extended in two cases till February 1.

MQM leader appeared before the Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday seeking extension in interim bail in two cases registered against him at SITE and Sohrab Goth police stations for making provocative speeches and berating national institutions.

He is currently facing 20 different cases at different police stations of Karachi.

Talking to media outside the SHC, Waseem Akhtar held Sindh government responsible for the current mess in the province particularly in Karachi.
