Pak-China business moot starts today

ISLAMABAD: A five-day Pakistan-China business friendship conference is beginning on Monday (today) in the capital city of Islamabad.

A 100-member Chinese delegation will take part in the conference which will be attended by prominent Pakistani businessmen, traders and executives of Chinese companies working in Pakistan, said a statement on Sunday.

Commerce Ministry in collaboration with the Board of Investment and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) are organising the conference. Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan, Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal and Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Sun Weidong will jointly inaugurate the conference.

The first leg of the conference will be held in Islamabad on January 18 and 19 from where the delegates would travel to Lahore for a day where business-to-business (B2B) sessions with prominent CEOs and senior executives of top companies headquartered in Punjab will be organised by Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).
