War on terror has to be won by joint efforts: Khattak
Minister reveals terrorists still hideouts near Pak-Afghan border
SCOTLAND– Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Wednesday expressed grief over the brutal massacre that took place at Bacha Khan University on Wednesday morning.
While talking to a private TV channel, Khattak said that he was in contact with the concerning departments despite being in Scotland. He said that Pakhtunkhwa government was fully assisting the Pakistan Army, intelligence agencies and other security personnel in launching the investigation against the attack.
“It’s a war, which has to be won by the united efforts. I urge all the parties and international community to play encouraging role in war on terror,” he added. He revealed that the terrorists still have hideouts near Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
The minister assured that the forces are holding anti-terrorist operations in the province to ensure the law and order situation, adding that the main issue is to stop the militants from destroying peace of the region.
Earlier, a group of terrorists stormed into Bacha Khan University in Charsadda, early on Wednesday morning where two blasts were heard amid heavy firing.
Provincial Minister Shaukat Yousafzai has said that death toll has reached to 25 in Terror attack at Bacha Khan University. Rescue sources have confirmed that injured people in the incident have been reached to 60, critically injured have been shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Charsadda, Also several have been shifted to Peshawar for medical treatment.
